Spike posted a link to the following article:

Lost? Hiding? Your Cellphone Is Keeping Tabs

I find this whole thing fascinating. Yes, there are good reasons for such technology, and if used correctly, this is a wonderful thing. But like so much technology, it will be so easy for this to be misused. What really bothers me, though, is the total lack of trust shown by a lot of the people in this article. These parents have no trust in their children, and particularly the employer in the article who says he gave these tracking devices to his employees without telling them. As someone who owns a business (granted, I don’t have full time employees but I do employ freelancers), I want to be able to trust the people working for me. If I don’t, I don’t hire them. Regardless, we can’t live in a society where no one trusts anyone else.

I suppose I’m having a bit of trouble really articulating my thoughts on the subject, but I think you probably all understand what I’m trying to say. Anyway, I hope this kind of technology doesn’t get too far out of hand.

Soon, we will begin Operation Copy-Cat, an attempt to create the House Cat, a loving tribute to our favorite sandwiches.

May God have mercy on our souls…

Becca has created Operation “I-got-your-survey-right-here”. I think it’s a wonderful idea, and I want to help her with it. Obviously other people have felt the same way, because it’s working. Go check out her site, and then click through to the survey. Let’s show the stupid people that we have a voice, too.

I would post something about Return of the King, but this pretty much says it all:

Everyone say hi to Reid Sound’s newest technician, Stacey. Everyone say, “Sorry, Stacey! I’m sorry the client is such a moron.”

They’ve taken down the list in order to give them time to deliver everything before Christmas, but if you get the chance, go over to the Child’s Play website and take a look at those incredible pictures. It really makes me feel good to know that I contributed in even a small way to that.

This post is primarily for those of you who live somewhere in New Jersey or the area surrounding Princeton….

If you were thinking of moving to the area, but thought, “I can’t move to Princeton or West Windsor because the taxes are too high. I’ll just move to Lawrenceville..”…well, think again. My taxes here in Lawrenceville are almost as high as they are in Princeton, and very likely higher than they are in West Windsor. While the cost of housing in those two towns is, in fact, higher than it is here in Lawrenceville (for now), the tax rate here is ridiculously high.

Oh, sorry. It appears I’ve been neglecting you guys for a while. I had something I was going to post about a week back, but then something happened and I didn’t. Now I don’t feel like posting about that.

I’ve been insanely busy lately. Between my new client and a different new client (who doesn’t pay as well but took up almost as much time) I haven’t been around much, and whatever time I have been around seems to be occupied with office/administrative/design work. It’s good, though. I like being busy better than I like sitting around doing nothing. It makes me appreciate the free time more. :)

Coming soon….BABY!!!!
