After you spend almost 4 hours watching a movie, you can’t help but feel somewhat connected to it. When that movie contains as much emotional turmoil as a movie about the Civil War must necessarily do, you can’t help but feel a little drained by the time it’s over. I always feel somewhat out of sorts after watching a movie like that, and I’m not really sure what to do with myself. I can’t just start watching other TV because, well, for one thing I’ve just sat in front of the TV for almost 4 hours, and for another it just doesn’t seem appropriate. I don’t know what does, and so I sort of find myself just wandering around the house a bit, looking out of the windows, that sort of thing.
Well, my computer is now back, and despite the fact that they reformatted my hard drive, thanks to someone, everything is pretty much back the way it was.
The only problem is, everything is pretty much back the way it was. I’m not really sure what Gateway did, but they did not fix the problems that I sent it in for. At least, not the major problems. I called them, and they are now going to send me a new chassis for my computer. I was somewhat surprised when they said this, but they assured me that it would not be that hard for me to take all of the insides from my current computer and put them into the new computer.
I hope they’re right. Otherwise I might have to lump them in with Carrot Top…
Spike posted a link to this article about complaints being made in France regarding a lingerie billboard. In the article is the following quote:
“Since the 19th century, the dress code of prostitutes has tended to set the tone for women as a whole,” feminist author Florence Montreynard told LCI television.
I guess that explains Britney Spears….
I don’t understand musicians. Last week, we put up posters and questoinnaires in about 8 different music stores. The offer was that if you fill out a questionnaire, you can win 8 free hours of rehearsal studio time. Fill out the questionnaire, mail it in to me, win free stuff. Sounds like a good deal to me. And yet we have not gotten a single questionnaire back, yet. Now, I realize it’s only been a bit over a week, but still! What’s wrong with these lazy musicians? Don’t they like free stuff?
I have to send my computer away for a while. This is bad because my computer is where my business is. It’s where I keep a good portion of my life. I’m transferring files and backing things up to try to maintain as much normalcy as possible, but it’s going to be bad for a week or two.
For those of you who know me, I promise to try not to be too grumpy. Bear with me for a little while…
Carrot Top, you are an asshole.
When I was in Vermont, there was absolutely no cell phone reception whatsoever. The first day we were there I managed to find a pay phone and I called Ali collect. I don’t have a calling card anymore, so that was my only option. I called her using 1-800-CALL-ATT. Carrot Top assured me that it was free for me, and cheap for them. Carrot Top is an asshole.
I got my Verizon bill today, and on it is a charge for $10.30 for that collect call. The total time of that call was 5 minutes. Let me just get my calculator….yes, that’s about $2 per minute. Is this cheap, Carrot Top? IS IT?
Asshole…
